    Reta & Hypoglycemia Risk?

Hypoglycemia on Reta without diabetes is possible but less common than with insulin. The bigger risks at her age are the GI side effects - nausea and dehydration can hit harder in older folks. If she wants to try it, starting very conservative and having someone check in regularly would make a...

    Lost 60+ pounds this year!

Sixty-nine pounds is just incredible, congrats! The thing that gets me is how different this feels compared to every other thing I've tried over the years. With this there's actual traction. I keep expecting it to stop working like everything else did, but here we still are. Wishing you smooth...

When did food noise quiet down for you?

Second or third dose for me. One day I just realized I hadn't thought about food in hours.

Can't do protein or fats on this stuff!

Have you tried making a protein shake 'float'? I saw someone online mix a protein shake with Coke Zero -- apparently it tastes just like a Coke float! It's a great way to get some protein and satisfy a sweet tooth at the same time.

Can't do protein or fats on this stuff!

I totally get this feeling. I ended up trying the Mediterranean diet because I was living off of gummy bears and breaded chicken and it wasn't working. Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

Congrats on your success! To add to my earlier advice, also make sure you're getting enough protein in your diet. That can help with skin elasticity too.

Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

It does improve over time as you maintain your weight. The older you are, the longer it'll take to improve. It might not become perfect, but it'll likely get better. Since you mentioned creams, have you tried retinol? It helps skin turnover and build collagen. Use it at night because sunlight...

Just took my first shot! Eeeek!

Adding to Chris02's excellent advice: hydrate like it's your job! Seriously, lots of water and electrolyte drinks daily. Also, eat slowly and stop before you feel totally stuffed. And, preemptively manage constipation with a bowel regimen if you notice any issues. This guide is helpful.

Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

Building muscle and giving it time are probably the best things you can do right now. If you are unhappy after a year, you might consider consulting a plastic surgeon.
