that's fantastic work! was on semaglutide for three months, lost about 23 pounds, but the cost became impossible to manage. found a more affordable option overseas and picked it back up - two weeks in now and already down another three pounds. feels good to be back on it.
I'm down about 85 pounds, since April. I feel healthier than I have in a decade. My BP is stable, I can play with my kids without getting winded, and I sleep better. It's a huge game changer.
I'm down about 50 pounds since the start of the year. It's amazing, but I'm starting to get that 'Ozempic face' thing I've heard about. Anyone else experience that?
YES! I did the same thing. I walked down the candy aisle at the store and I was just...meh. Didn't buy a thing. It was a really strange feeling, but a good one!
Thanks for all the comments... So much to take in. I'm pleased I managed to source needles to extract the golden dose as my doc refused to prescribe the needles.
Thanks for the replies, everyone! It's really encouraging to hear about other people's experiences, both good and bad. Keeping my fingers crossed that the positive effects keep building.
I'm on 10mg pens, but only taking 2.5mg weekly, basically it's like 16 doses. I spoke to my doctor who confirmed that it doesn't 'expire' quicker than stated on the pen.
It's like saying, "I stopped my cholesterol meds and my cholesterol went up! I thought my heart had learned to maintain healthy levels!”
It's a chronic condition that needs ongoing treatment. Stop the treatment, and things go back to where they were.
