GLP-1: Injection site + Costco finds?

Good info from RXPete on disposal. Easy to overlook that part when focused on everything else.

    Hit my goal, still losing?!

Undershooting goal and continuing to lose is a common GLP-1 pattern - the medication doesn't stop at a number, so the focus shift to muscle gain is exactly the right next chapter. The internal adjustment to the new weight takes longer than the physical change, which is the 'still live in' part.

Reta and the hiccups from hell!

Started March 21 at 30st 4 (BMI 69), down to 14st 2.6 or 198lb (BMI 32) today. Couldn't be happier with myself and my fitness right now. Exercise isn't needed for weight loss but cardiovascular health definitely, so it's been key for me. Went from 5XL to smalls in everything.

    Keep at it! Worth it!

People always yell loudest when things go wrong. You rarely see glowing reviews for stuff people think is normal or standard—it's just how things work with feedback.

Paper towel effect a real thing!

read that this peptide is solid for post-surgery recovery—helps with collagen and elastin, blood flow to healing tissues, calms inflammation and swelling, tissue repair with better quality and less scar tissue maybe. just had surgery tuesday for bad acid reflux the past 3 years. surgeon noted i...

    Two Years, A New Me!

200 pounds takes as long as it takes - the two-year timeline at 200+ lbs lost is actually aggressive pace, not slow. The plateau after losing a parent is a recognized pattern; the body and brain both downshift under grief stress regardless of what the medication is doing.

    Tesa/Reta - weird taste changes?

Fairlife nutrition shakes from Costco, 30g protein a day in a small amount of liquid. Swapped all my snacks for protein versions—Quest chips, their donuts, beef jerky. For actual meals I just eat whatever sounds good and however much fits. Works for me.

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

My family are teasing me because, even though it's only been like 5 weeks, I'm SO thrilled to finally have ankles that look...normal! Goodbye, cankles! 🤣

    Weird Places You're Getting Thin?

Totally! My hands look almost skeletal! And I swear I can see muscles or something in my forearms that were never visible before. It's kinda cool getting to know this new body, bones and all!

    Who dis?! 🤣

I'm about 6 months in and down 30lbs. Don't give up, the first month can be slow, but stick with it!

    Who dis?! 🤣

Amazing, congratulations! It's such a great feeling. I’ve been on it for almost two years and still get surprised sometimes when I see myself. Mid-forties and feeling amazing, I lost over 130lbs.

    GLP-1s making pain vanish?

I take 2.75mg a day from 80mg vials of premixed. I don't worry about any overfill. I don't care if I get a little more or less. It works out to 10 units. I don't think a higher dose would be dangerous either.
