    Same outfit, smaller me!

The outfit comparison is the clearest proof - hard to argue with what's in front of you.

GLP-1s: More than just weight loss?

The body composition point is one of the most underappreciated aspects of these medications. Two people at the same scale weight can look completely different and have very different metabolic risk profiles based on muscle versus fat distribution. GLP-1, when combined with adequate protein...

    Started my journey on GLP-1s...

Both help, but food is 80% of it. Protein first, cardio as a bonus.

    Another 20 gone!

That's a good idea about the apps. I've just been weighing myself but maybe I should be tracking more.

Lost weight, but don't *look* like it??

I saw a guy online who lost about 70 lbs in a year. He took a shirtless pic and was super proud. That NSV - non-scale victory - is huge, right? Feeling good in your skin matters just as much as the numbers!

    Another 20 gone!

Thanks everyone! Tired_of_Tired, I've been on it for about 3 months now. Started low and worked my way up to 2mg. Don't get discouraged, it might just take some time to find the right dose.

Lost weight, but don't *look* like it??

This is a marathon, not a sprint. If you aren't actively building muscle, it could be muscle weight you're losing. Sounds like you're early in your journey. Start exercising and building muscle to tone up. The loss will be more obvious as you go. Don't give up!

    Another 20 gone!

Just hit another milestone – shed about 20 pounds. Feeling like my old self again.

Lost weight, but don't *look* like it??

Relax. If the scale says you're down 30 lbs, you're moving in the right direction. I felt the same way (now down over 100 lbs). It took me half a year to finally see it myself. People who haven't seen me in years are shocked, but it's harder to notice when you see yourself every day. Same with...

    Sudden weight drop--normal?

Where are you injecting? Maybe that's why you're seeing inconsistent results.

    Sudden weight drop--normal?

Are you a woman who still gets her period? I have a big drop the week before/of my period. Probably inflammation-related, but I wouldn't stress unless it keeps happening. Just be sure you're eating enough, esp protein.

    Down 64, aiming for more!

Yeah, seeing those before and after pics can be a huge motivator. I try to focus on how much better I feel, though. The number on the scale is just a bonus.

    Diet Soda While on Ozempic?

The caffeine-free version is my go-to drink with dinner.

    Down 64, aiming for more!

I understand you really love a banana split, and I know I'll catch some flak for this, but keeping the weight off in the long run takes a total lifestyle change. A lot of people I know, me included, would feel awful after eating a banana split. Not just physically after changing our diets so...

9 months on Wegovy - my journey!

Fantastic work. I'm curious, SlimFam, did you notice any improvement in your fibromyalgia symptoms with the semaglutide? I've seen some emerging studies suggesting it may help with pain management.
