    40 down, almost there!

400 to 180 is a fundamental shift in metabolic health and daily capacity. Shooting for 130 from 180 is realistic - the second half of a long journey often moves at a different pace but remains achievable.

    7 months on the shot!

The addiction quieting effect is one of the more documented secondary benefits of GLP-1s. Smoking and alcohol often become noticeably less appealing within the first few months - the dopamine regulation that reduces food noise seems to apply to other compulsive patterns too. Seven months clean...

    6 Months On Tirzepatide!

The 3am pattern is common in the early months on tirzepatide. CBD plus magnesium glycinate before bed is one of the consistent fixes. Most find it settles around month 3.

GLP-1s and IBS - anyone else?

Glad to hear it's helping you! The nausea can be rough, but hopefully, it'll pass quickly. I found that sipping ginger ale helped.

GLP-1s and IBS - anyone else?

I've got IBS-D, and Ozempic stopped it completely. Usually, I had to run to the bathroom in the mornings, but now things are different. Though, now I'm dealing with constipation since starting Seroquel - haven't gone in almost a week and had to use an enema! Now I go every few days and need...

    First week, feelin' nothin'?

Give it like a fortnight. Maybe a bit longer.

    First week, feelin' nothin'?

Totally normal! Give your body time to acclimate to the medication first. I didn’t really lose any noticeable weight until after the first month, but I did observe a shift in my eating; I was consuming significantly less.

    Just eat less?

I had the same issue, and started spacing my injections out more often. Now I do .25mg every 5 days. Also, don't compare yourself to what you read online! Everyone's progress is going to be different.

    Just eat less?

    Calories in, calories out!

    Reta transition woes?

It's different for everyone. Some get them, some don't. If you do, try smaller meals and avoid high-fat stuff.

    Reta transition woes?

I wouldn't take that as gospel. Reta responses are all over the map. Sema barely touched my appetite, but Reta shut it down completely. When I started at 2mg a week, I had to force myself to eat just to get enough calories. Everyone needs to figure out their own response instead of depending on...

    Reta 'pop' fizzled out?

I'm finding food doesn't taste right anymore. It's a real problem. I'm so grateful for the medication because it's helping a lot, but *everything* tastes either too salty or the texture is just...off. Anyone else?
