214 to 167 since September is a solid arc - 47 lbs in under a year with plateaus acknowledged is real work. The tirz plus Reta combination is getting more traction from people looking to push past a plateau at higher doses - the mechanisms are complementary in the GIP and GLP-1 receptor overlap...
The first few weeks can be all body composition shifts before the scale moves - water retention from inflammation dropping often masks fat loss in the early weeks.
Sounds more like you picked up a bug from the cruise, not the med. Tirz can make rich food hit harder but six months in it shouldn't come out of nowhere from pastries and a cocktail. Probably just bad timing—virus + injection. Stay hydrated and recover first.
tried some of those separately years back — nothing really happened. curious about klow though and the other one you mentioned. bought some waiting to land. would try a klow blend if the price isn't nuts but my usual place doesn't stock it.
Time to jump, for sure. Moved to 2.4 two weeks ago after six months at 1.7. Only lost weight in the first couple months at that level. Was scared of hair loss and GI issues like my family had on Wegovy, but so far I just have less appetite.
Stalled forever at 46 and in peri. switched to mechanical eating instead of tracking (fat science podcast inspiration). two months in, broke the stall, lost like 4 lbs, feeling way better w/ more energy. scary at first but it worked.
dearth of studies on higher dosing and especially the long-term stuff. anecdotal evidence fills in where science hasn't caught up. good point that lack of high-dose data might be deliberate — nobody wants to test overdose in people. hypoglycemia would be a real risk at too high a dose
Minimal drinker, 2 cocktails a week. On Ozempic since January, week 2 of 1mg now. Last few weekends alcohol does nothing for me even stronger. Appetite came back too and weight loss stalled which surprised me.
I just read that generic Ozempic might be coming to Canada soon! That would be amazing for those of us without coverage. Hoping it actually happens and brings the price down.
