Beyond weight loss: What surprised you most about Mounjaro?

51, female, been on mounjaro for a good long stretch now, currently holding steady in maintenance at 12.5mg. Metformin was my routine before that, for pre-diabetes. Total loss on mounjaro landed around 100 lbs. Most of that came off fairly fast early on. Sitting at my target of 150 now, standing...

Ozempic shut down the food chatter!

Ran into pretty much the identical thing here. Physical hunger disappeared quickly, but the habit of obsessing over eating stuck around out of pure routine for months afterward. Pushing the dose higher moved the needle a bit, but what really settled the mental side down was pairing a gut...

Not a fast loser? You're not alone!

Same story here. Started mid-May and down seventeen pounds so far. Feels discouraging honestly. Was lurking around before ever taking the first shot and came across someone claiming sixty pounds gone in just over two months. Thought no way that's real. Even a doctor mentioned expecting more...

    Starting my GLP-1 journey!

Reta's the only GLP-1 I've ever tried. Not totally sure on your second question honestly, just went with my gut and whatever felt right at the time.

    Still fighting the mental game...

Doing well, thanks for asking! Definitely dealt with rougher mental health when I carried more weight and felt embarrassed about it, feeling a lot more self-assured these days. Going to work on setting some boundaries with family and friends too, let them know their comments make me uncomfortable.

    Ozempic Victory!

So true. Ozempic isn't universal, I've read roughly one in five people on it don't see the weight-loss effect kick in (that's me). Still on it though since it manages my diabetes better than insulin alone ever did.

    GLP-1s and BMI weirdness?

Yeah, my stash of everything besides the GLP itself has practically caught up in size... testing each one on its own, spaced a week or two apart, which means burning through more and more mixed diluent...

    Pen Needles: Any brands better?

GHK-cu burning at 4mm is a consistent complaint regardless of site - the compound itself tends to be irritating at shallow depths, and 8mm often helps.

    Muscle loss worries on GLP-1s?

The resistance training point matters most - even short sessions 2-3 times a week with progressive loading protect lean mass more effectively than protein alone, especially at suppressed appetite.

Ozempic: More than just weight loss?

The NHS wait time reality means private route for insulin resistance cases often makes clinical sense beyond just the queue - insulin resistance compounds over years and the longer it goes unmanaged the harder the downstream work becomes. The 24kg variance from what you thought you weighed is...

    A year on GLP-1s!

I think public opinion's about to shift. As more of us get results, this stuff's becoming mainstream. Once we hit that tipping point people will just be like "oh you're on it too?" instead of acting weird about it.

GLP-1 Success Story - My Journey!

Started the shot in June and already seeing curves I didn't know were there. It's been a wild journey learning to accept my body and deal with my food stuff. Hit my goal in January, took a break for 3 months and held it, now thinking about going again to get closer to a healthy BMI. Long road...

Reta: energy boost or all-day naps?

for me there's a big difference — hunger feels physical with actual body cues and goes away after eating. food noise is mental chatter and specific cravings that don't switch off. biggest change on this? the quiet. spend way less time thinking about food.

Down 100+lbs! My GLP-1 journey so far

Few years back I was on semaglutide and dropped 25 before the med, then another 25-30 on it. Was working out a ton. Soon as I stopped, so did the weight loss. Stayed on it but nothing else came off, just maintained. Don't really remember the exact dose but I'd bumped it a few times. Starting...

Injection Volume: What's Your Sweet Spot?

Been using this for 4 months, at 1mg now. Just bought a new pen with 3 doses left. Today when I injected I think I left it in too long and a tiny bit of blood got in. Normal? Should I toss it? Don't want to, it's pricey. Anyone else seen this?
