The dopamine reward effect is the more consistent piece of how Reta changes drinking - it's not just appetite suppression like the other GLP-1s. The anhedonia risk at higher doses is real but tends to be temporary and dose-related, so if someone notices things that used to feel good just going...
Starting with tirz makes more sense for someone who works out consistently and is close to goal - the muscle preservation profile is better understood, and the dose range gives more adjustment room before needing to layer a second agent. The fast early results people report on reta come with a...
I've been on both. One year on this one up to 10mg, currently five months on the other at 1.7mg. No side effects worth mentioning from either. The first one gave more weight loss but the second has stronger appetite control, so I'm still losing steady.
Quit a nutrition plan after a year—felt like a second job stressing about macros and meal timing. Gained it all back plus 28 extra. Don't tell people I inject because of stigma, just nod along. But I'm happy with this choice.
The way the body changes on Tirz combines better fuel partitioning with the training stimulus - more calories going to muscle repair than fat storage as insulin sensitivity improves. The calorie-burning increase through exercise compounds with the GLP-1 metabolic baseline shift in a way that...
lilly just got fda approval for orforglipron (brand name foundayo). the name is way better than it could've been. interesting to see how the market takes it. pricing sounds like zepbound territory, so not amazing if you're uninsured.
I've stopped for about 3 weeks twice in the last 9 months. Both times my appetite came back super strong. And I'm only using a low dose. I've never needed what they say on the label. I lost about 20 lbs and want to lose a bit more, but I also needed to boost my energy, so I'm continuing to use a...
That's an interesting point about Ritalin. I never considered it for weight loss. Maybe it improves focus, or it could have a combined effect with the Reta?
I'm using Tirz and it works great. I dumped 6lbs the first week, then around 3lbs a week for the next month and a half. It has slowed down...
That's right, that's why I asked. The main thing about semaglutide is the reduction in appetite. When you increase the dose, that effect will be stronger. It starts to fade after 5-6 days until the next injection.
Glad to hear it's working with minimal discomfort.
That's pretty normal. Those sorts of side effects usually go away after the first couple of weeks for most people. The big issue for some of us (me included) is the constipation. GLP-1's slow down digestion, which can be rough. Some tips:
1. Don't eat too fast, slow down. You'll get full faster...
