had to stop wegovy three times for surgery and other reasons - no choice involved. tried jumping back on for six months after but it just wasn't as effective anymore. switched to mounjaro a few months ago and honestly it doesn't feel much different. if you can stay on, probably best not to stop.
It's amazing how much your health can improve! A year ago, I was pre-diabetic with high cholesterol and a fatty liver. I also had back and knee pain. Now? All gone! I've lost about 60 pounds, and I feel fantastic. Huge thanks to this medication!
That 'hungry day' idea sounds like a useful tool to add to my belt of tricks, True-Happy! A lot of these medications seem to curb appetite, maybe that person's body just readjusted to a new normal level of hunger?
Cost, the difficulty of sticking to the prescription's requirements, and not enough info on what to do when the side effects get really bad. A lot of people feel overwhelmed if they don't have the right information.
Probably the price. I think it's cost prohibitive for most people. Medicare won't pay, and the discount cards don't work with it. Even with regular insurance, I'm seeing less coverage every year.
I'm hoping to make a similar post soon! I've been on my meds for three months and already dropped two sizes. I'm trying to focus on building muscle, too. Has anyone else been tracking body fat and muscle mass changes?
