    Lost 60+ pounds this year!

30kg in 9 months without going above 5mg is a really solid result and validates the go-slow approach. Doctors who ramp aggressively aren't always right - for some people the lower doses do all the work without extra side effects. Your doctor sounds like they know what they're doing.

CGMs and GLP-1s: Who's Using 'Em?

CGMs matter most with GLP-1s for T2D and pre-diabetic cases - for everyone else, dose timing and meal response data is the main value.

    Bloodwork on Tirzepatide?

Baseline for Tirz is a CMP, lipid panel, HbA1c, and TSH - repeat at 3 months to catch kidney function and liver enzyme changes before they compound.

Reta REALLY speeding up weight loss?

The glucagon component in Reta elevates resting metabolic rate beyond GLP-1 alone - that's what drives the faster early loss before the dose normalizes.

    Lazy Dinner Ideas? Help!

It's important to remember that while these meds are helpful for weight loss, they aren't magic. One person on Reddit said they lost about 220 pounds in a year by combining the medicine with a low-sugar, low-carb diet (under 25 carbs a day) and exercise. It's a commitment!

    Lazy Dinner Ideas? Help!

If you don’t mind a quick trip to the store, I recommend a rotisserie chicken with frozen veggies. Leftovers for a couple meals is a plus.

They just don't get it, do they?

Exactly! It's so freeing to realize it's not a personal failing but a biological issue.

They just don't get it, do they?

I should probably avoid engaging with judgmental people for my own well-being. But I want to say: "You wouldn't judge a Type 1 diabetic for lifelong insulin, or someone with heart issues taking statins, or a CF patient taking Trikafta." Chronic, potentially fatal conditions require ongoing...

    Ozempic scars?

ghk-cu makes your body produce its own collagen. some people use it topical, some inject, some do both. has tons of other benefits. there's a youtube person in my state, quinn stillson, with a long video about it - almost sounds like a miracle drug. variant called ahk-cu supposedly works even...

10 Months In: My GLP-1 Story

love the Gansulin pen but wish it had a click-to-deliver mode instead of holding the button down. these need an audible click to signal the dose went in so i know how long to keep the needle in. add a watch battery and tie it to an app for tracking and labels? i'd buy that.

They just don't get it, do they?

Why is long-term use seen as a problem for GLP-1s when it's accepted for managing other chronic health conditions? If obesity isn't a chronic condition, I don't know what is.

Loose Skin Club - Anyone Else?

Huge journey! Started on Zepbound in 2023, dropped 24 on the 2.5 dose, then switched to Mounjaro in November when T2 showed up. Combine that with exercise and actually eating right, and I'm in the best place I've been. Still got more to go but man, grateful.

No sweat at field day?! Woot!

MJ's been my friend 8 weeks but i haven't weighed myself—too anxious. therapist says once a month is enough (she knows my obsessive side). now i feel like a fraud guessing on my app. only guide is my jeans—went from 40 to 36. afraid the scale will shock me.
