Just started Oz... is this normal?

First two weeks are the roughest. Nausea, fatigue, and low appetite are expected and ease off. Stay hydrated, eat slowly, don't skip meals entirely even when you're not hungry. Week 3-4 is usually noticeably better. If it's still rough past two weeks, worth checking with your prescriber about...

    GLP-1s and Food Waste? Tips?

Smaller portions at serving time is the main lever - easier to add than to deal with what's there. Protein first at every meal means you always finish that part. Batch cooking so leftovers become next week's meals rather than waste. The portion reset takes a few months to stabilize.

When did food noise quiet down for you?

Timeline varies a lot. Some people feel something within the first 24-72 hours - a noticeable quieting even at starting doses. Others need 2-3 weeks and a dose bump before it becomes obvious. Most people land somewhere in between. The food noise being the first thing to shift is common; the...

Butt skin issues from weight loss?

I hear you, HealDad761. I've lost hair too. I've been taking a prenatal vitamin and collagen, hoping it'll help. Someone else posted that keeping their protein high helped them keep their hair.

Butt skin issues from weight loss?

Calmoseptine Ointment, which you can buy on Amazon, has been a lifesaver. I've lost over 300 pounds, and this has really helped me.

    Mounjaro stopped my hot flashes?

For those of you with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), have any of you been prescribed this? My wife has it and the weight loss is tough. I saw someone say they were prescribed it specifically for PCOS.

    Mounjaro stopped my hot flashes?

Hot flashes are often linked to low estrogen levels. If you lost some weight on Mounjaro (just guessing?) weight loss can sometimes release stored estrogen into your system. It's possible you got a temporary boost that reduced the hot flashes while you were taking it. Have you considered...

Sticking with .25 or moving up to .5?

I agree with Clean-Boss. It's easy to mistake initial diet changes for the drug working its magic, but it might not be that.

Sticking with .25 or moving up to .5?

If you're taking it for weight loss and aren't seeing any appetite suppression, go up in dosage. If you're taking it for blood sugar, you'll probably need to increase the dosage anyway. So I say yes, increase the dosage!

Sticking with .25 or moving up to .5?

If you haven't had notable weight loss, like more than a pound each week, and haven't had any negative side effects, there's no good reason to stay on the starting dose. Go up. Also, you're already relatively small, so even one pound a week would be a pretty good result, and don't expect to lose...

Mixing my own peptides! SO excited!

FYI, we got a feeder that reads their microchips. If they aren't allowed to eat, it closes. And don't even get me started on the automatic litter box. Herding cats is not easy!

Mixing my own peptides! SO excited!

Good luck with the Tirzepatide. Serious weight loss is possible, and hopefully, GLP's can help keep it off. I know what you mean about hygiene issues. At over 300 pounds with a BMI over 50, I could barely walk 100 meters or go shopping. Unloading groceries was exhausting. And scary heart...

Down 50+ lbs, taking a break!

I totally get that, Kerry1996. Finding the right balance with food and meds is tricky. I've been on this sema journey for over a year and it's always something. I think you're smart to listen to your body and work with your program. Good luck!

Down 50+ lbs, taking a break!

That's incredible! Be careful about stopping completely – even lowering my dose due to the shortages caused me to gain about 10 pounds in just three weeks! I'm currently down 70 pounds over the last 15 months. ♥️
