Tirzepatide with Glycine?

I just switched to a different tirzepatide source – the 'grey market' version. Before, I got it compounded and it had glycine in it. I really liked that combo, but it was costing me a fortune. I want to keep using glycine. I found glycine powder I can take, but not an injectable version. Any ideas?

Glycine absorbs super easily, so just swallow a capsule. No need to inject it. Some people put it in GLP-1 shots to reduce injection site pain. It's supposed to help balance the pH.

It's also one of the three aminos that makes glutathione. You could inject glutathione instead if you want. They sell freeze-dried glutathione. I haven't seen glycine by itself that way.

Some companies sell glycine mixed with other stuff. I think Kimera and Soma do, but not just glycine alone.

I think pinning it is better. Here's what some AI thingy says:

Oral glutathione doesn't absorb well 'cause your stomach breaks it down. Some studies say it can raise blood levels a little, but not enough to matter. Liposomal or sublingual might work better, or injecting it.

Enzymes eat it up: Glutathione is a tripeptide, and enzymes in the gut break it down before it gets into your blood.

Poor Absorption: Even if it stays whole, it doesn't always get into the bloodstream.

Better options:

Liposomal: Wrapped in liposomes to protect it.

Sublingual: Under the tongue, straight to the blood.

IV: Straight into the blood.

Boosting pills:

Vitamin C: Helps recycle glutathione.

Healthy Fats: Might help absorption.

Precursors: Like NAC, to help your body make it.

Overall, pills aren't great because they don't absorb well.

I do see injectable glutathione on the price lists from some sources. I'll add it to my next order. Hopefully, subq works as well as IV. I'd be too scared to inject it straight into a vein. Thanks!

Oral glutathione is generally considered a waste of resources. Subcutaneous injection is viable, intramuscular is preferable, and intravenous administration yields the highest bioavailability. Extensive discussion regarding the nuances can be found within the forum archives.

I've read that combining a growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) like ipamorelin with a growth hormone fragment can be synergistic. Has anyone tried this for enhanced results? I'm curious about the potential benefits and drawbacks, especially in terms of hormonal balance.

To glow-up's point, the co-administration of a GHRP with IGF-LR3 is a topic of ongoing investigation. While GHRPs stimulate endogenous growth hormone release, the introduction of IGF-LR3 may influence the feedback mechanisms regulating GH production. It is crucial to consider potential desensitization or blunting of the GH response with prolonged co-administration. Further research is warranted to elucidate the long-term effects and optimal dosing strategies.

I wanted to chime in and say that I've been taking a sermorelin/ipamorelin combo for about 7 months now and I think it's going pretty well so far. My body fat went from 26% to around 16% and I managed to put on a good amount of lean muscle mass. Also, my IGF-1 levels pretty much doubled!

Hey Morgan33, that's awesome! I've heard that some GHRPs can raise prolactin and cortisol. Have you noticed any changes in those levels since you started the sermorelin/ipamorelin combo?

I take glycine powder, just mix it in water. Sleep got noticeably better once I started it. It stacks fine with the rest.

Glycine as a GLP-1 adjunct is an interesting angle. It's a common co-formulation in compounded tirz partly for osmolarity reasons but also because glycine has its own mild metabolic effects - GI motility support, collagen synthesis, some GABA-adjacent sleep/anxiety effects. The interaction with tirzepatide specifically hasn't been formally studied but the anecdotal community experience is generally positive or neutral. If you switched from compounded with glycine to grey market without it and notice a change in GI tolerance, that's worth tracking. People who add glycine separately typically do 2-5g separately from the injection, not mixed in.
