Red spot at injection site - anyone else?

Red spots after consistent technique usually mean needle blunting or local site accumulation. Fresh needle each time and rotating sites by an inch fixes most cases.

The alcohol pad timing is real - letting the skin dry fully before injecting reduces the reaction. Most who switch to wiping and waiting report the red areas resolve.

the tiny backflow at needle withdrawal is the stopper rebound effect rather than a failed seal - after you push the plunger down, the residual pressure in the system causes a small volume of fluid to track back up the needle channel as it exits. the fix is to stop injection slightly before the plunger bottoms out, wait a few seconds, then withdraw. this keeps the track pressure from being positive at the moment of withdrawal
