New wardrobe time!

My outfits were looking a little baggy lately, but now that I've dropped around 75 pounds, they are HUGE! I went from an 18 to a 12, and while I'm so proud, it was rough shopping today. Spending hours in fitting rooms, seeing a difference but still wanting more, harsh lighting and mirrors everywhere. But there were highlights: grabbing smaller sizes than before, stuff being too large, even trying on a bikini and feeling good. I've always preferred online shopping. I assumed it was just because it was easier to find larger sizes. But I think I just like it more. Now, I have a big online shopping trip planned. Wish me luck! At least I know my size now!

That sounds amazing! Getting smaller sizes for the first time is such a milestone. I felt that way after starting my weight loss too.

It's incredible how much weight some people are losing! Saw a post where someone lost almost 100 pounds! I'm curious, Tone_Fam, how long have you been on your medication?

75 pounds shows in the wardrobe before it shows in the mirror - the XL to smaller is a concrete measure of what the scale has been reporting in abstract. The clothes shopping reset is usually the part that makes it feel real in a way the scale readings don't.

Going from 18 to 12 is two full size buckets - the wardrobe math hits differently than the scale because you can see and feel it. Thrift stores during the transition are underrated.

Getting to normal BMI and actually shopping from the full rack rather than the limited size range is one of those milestones that's hard to fully describe to someone who hasn't been there. Plaid pencil skirts are the correct celebration.
