Protein shakes while on GLP's?

Honestly at 0.25 that appetite suppression is exactly what you're hoping for. A ton of people stuck on higher doses without the same results so you're doing good. Mix up some protein shakes, throw some fiber in there if you need it, and call it a win.

appetite tanked hard on this stuff - nothing tastes good to me anymore. struggling to hit my protein goals with how little i'm eating. looking for easy shake or bar options that don't make me gag

Protein shakes make sense when appetite is low. Greek yogurt adds a lot without much volume. Aim for a specific number, not just 'enough.'

Veggie beef stew with chickpeas and farro packs protein and fiber without much volume. Red lentil soup is solid too - I freeze batches so it lasts weeks.

Fairlife is the most common recommendation for the protein-to-calorie ratio when appetite is suppressed. Ratio yogurt and cottage cheese are the other two that keep coming up. Bean burritos are a solid complete protein with fiber.

Protein shakes being easier to digest early on is a real factor. The gut is more sensitive and whole food sources can feel heavy. Pureed vegetables alongside is solid for intake when solid meals aren't landing.

Shakes handle the protein gap when appetite is suppressed. Liquid goes down easier at lower intake. Whey or casein, skip the sugary flavors.

Fairlife or a collagen powder mixed into broth are the two that come up most for low-bloat options on GLP-1 - easier on the gut than whey for a lot of people.

The 'GLP-1 Friendly' labeling trend is going to expand quickly as manufacturers figure out the size of the market. The taste and stomach tolerance variable matters as much as protein content for this category - high protein plus impaired gastric motility is a real interaction that affects which formulations work for which people.
