Reta/Tirz Cycles - am I crazy?

I'm on 5mg tirz once weekly, split into two doses, and have shed about 13 pounds in the last month and a half. I'm planning to bump the dose up to 10-12mg a week once my current supply is gone.

I'm curious what the best long-term strategy is here, particularly about cycling. Should I cycle, or just keep increasing the dose as needed? If cycling makes sense, is one vial of Reta 10mg enough for a cycle? I have one vial, but not sure if it's enough to really do a cycle.

I currently have about 600mg of tirz and 100mg of reta banked. If I did do a proper reta cycle later, I think I'd need another vial to get to 400mg total. I'm not starting that now, I'd finish my tirz first.

I was thinking of ordering more tirz and reta, like 900mg and 300mg respectively, then using short bursts of reta with tirz as maintenance. Does that make sense, or am I getting ahead of myself? Any thoughts on if cycling is worth it? And if so, do I need 600mg of Reta to do it right, or are shorter bursts ok?

If you're happy with your weight loss, why change anything? Find a dose that works and stick to it. If tirz is working, why switch to reta?

'Stacks' usually means taking multiple peptides. Reta or Tirz alone isn't a stack.

So, no, your plan doesn't sound good to me.

I think if Tirzepatide is working, you should stick with it. The only exception might be if you have side effects you want to deal with, or if you want to try a single vial of reta to see if it works for you, so you can stock up in case it's good for you in the future.

Tirzepatide has gone through clinical trials and has some long-term safety data. Reta hasn't yet. Tirz is very effective, so there's no reason to rush to reta if what you're doing is already working.

I don't care what you do and won't argue with anyone who's excited to try new things, because same.

Same. I'm open about using tirz at work, and people tell me what they're on. If they're on sema, I think they haven't read about tirz. Why would anyone be on sema when tirz exists? Some people have good results with sema with few side effects, but I hear about how sema doesn't work well and has bad side effects.

When I say 'T30 vial' I mean the standard 30mg x 10 vials that you can buy... so 300mg of tirz total.

I thought you were supposed to increase the dose by 2.5mg every month? I figured I'd be at 10mg in 3-4 months, not when I run out.

I feel like I just wanna buy a Reta 30x10 vial because I want to collect glp1s... but I could get twice as much tirz for the same cost, and it's safer.

I agree with Coffee. I've seen people get into trouble trying to cycle these things without a real plan. It's not like TRT where you're trying to manage a hormone level... you're trying to manage your appetite and metabolism. Find what works and cruise.

I've heard some people using other peptides alongside GLP-1s, but for different reasons. Like, I saw a thread about someone using DSIP and Epithalon with Tirzepatide to try and lower their blood pressure after some issues. Might be worth looking into if you have specific health concerns alongside weight loss.

Interesting. I don't have blood pressure issues, but I'm always curious about ways to optimize things. Thanks for the tip!

I've also seen people trying sermorelin/ipamorelin stacks while on GLP-1s, supposedly to help with energy and recovery. It's all anecdotal, of course, but some claim it helps boost T levels, even when coming off TRT. Always something new to try, I guess!

Cycling Reta and Tirz is a reasonable experiment - the glucagon receptor component in Reta adds what Tirz doesn't cover, so they're not fully redundant. Running one fully before switching gives you a cleaner read on the difference.
