Photos vs. the Mirror - Anyone else?

It's been a tough few weeks mentally. My mom took some pictures of my daughter and I the other day, and I was really shocked at how different I look than I *think* I look. It's like the mirror lies! These photos are maybe 90 pounds apart. It's weird.

What a transformation! Just think of all the extra playtime you can have with your kiddo now!

We're always our own worst critics. Mirrors are evil. You're doing awesome. :)

You've really made some progress, girl.

Got any old clothes from before? When you start feeling down, try wearing something from before. Especially pants/jeans without a belt. You'll really see the difference then.

You're doing great!

I find that taking progress pics REALLY helps because you don't always notice day to day in the mirror. I take full body pics in the same outfit every few weeks. Just for myself. It's surprising!

This is such a good idea! I have one pair of jeans that I kept *just* for this reason. It's a great reminder!

Photos catch what the mirror misses - a few months of consistent angle and lighting makes the arc obvious in a way daily reflection never does.
