Pants Size Victory!

My stepdad handed me some jeans he got at a thrift store. I've been a solid size 14 for what feels like forever, and he gave me a size 10. I laughed and said those were future jeans, maybe if I can squeeze into a 12 I'll be doing good , and then eventually a 10. I live in stretchy pants and loose-fitting drawstring stuff!

He told me to just try 'em, and guess what? They zipped right up! I'm still in shock.

It's wild how we often don't notice the changes in our own bodies as quickly as others do. I've only shed about 15 pounds myself, and I don't see any difference, but my partner says my neck looks thinner. Congrats, @GingerChews4Life! Keep up the awesome work!

I've lost around 14 pounds, and nobody has mentioned it. It's discouraging. I'm at 150lbs but I'm very short, so it's not like it's hidden.

I agree with @Danielle_Path. I had times where the scale didn't move for weeks, even though I was doing everything right. Then, suddenly, whoosh! It would start again. Don't give up!

that's awesome about the 34 inch drop! i did a huge cleanout a few months back too. donated a ton of my old 3x and 4x stuff plus all those bigger pants sizes 42 through 48 to a rehab program near me. wanted to go with a vets org but couldn't find the right one in my area. i tossed out the underwear though honestly, just didn't feel right. people dealing with homelessness would probably rather have fresh unopened stuff anyway. made sure everything i gave was in good shape too, nothing stained or falling apart. right now i've got these massive piles building up again. got a bunch of 2x shirts and size 40 pants stacking up. starting to realize i might have a slight clothing obsession going on haha

just picked up some size S stuff last week which still feels wild. way better than squeezing into my old 7xl clothes. probably went a bit optimistic with the t-shirts but i'll grow into them eventually.

Don't jump the dose if you're still dropping. Give yourself time to get the most out of where you are before going higher. If you stall for over 3 weeks, then consider upping. Takes about 4 weeks for your levels to balance after a dose increase—be patient and you'll see if it's actually working.

Journey started November at 249, now 195. Hit the shops this weekend - went from size 14/XL to size 10/L. Made my day because I thought I was stuck. Every single pound counts.

My favorite jeans don't fit anymore. Heartbroken but happy. Went through everything - nothing fits now. Started at 14, between 10-12 currently. Waiting until goal to buy new jeans, just got black yoga pants.

Microdosing monthly at the lowest dose for upkeep. Started at 230, down to 125. Went from size 16 down to size 2 in pants.

The closet-archaeology moment is its own milestone. Finding a jacket you used to fill and realizing how much room there is now lands differently than any scale number. On the wardrobe question: functional basics at the current size while things stabilize, then invest in the full refresh once the body has settled for a couple of months.
