Ok so I finally took my first dose. Was super scared but it honestly didn't hurt at all. I think I pinched too hard maybe lol.

Like, an hour later I have a minor headache and feel kinda lightheaded and tired. Wondering if that's already the meds doing things.

Fingers crossed this is the last time I have to try and lose weight!

I def tasted the med the first time (I always do with shots!). Plus, headache. Sip water and eat small meals. Good luck!

Thanks! I will definitely keep the small meals and water in mind. I'm already not feeling super hungry, which is WILD.

Hope to reach that point someday. Starting the shots next month, got a trip coming up so it'll be good motivation to stick with this.

I'd advise ensuring you get enough calories to fuel your day, even if your appetite is suppressed. You might not see huge weight loss in the first month, so just be patient and build good habits.

I had to force myself to eat the first few weeks! I felt full on hardly anything. The only issue I had was constipation, but Miralax helped a ton with that.

Oh good to know! I'll pick some up just in case. And yeah, I can see how forcing myself to eat will be a thing. I'm barely peckish!

Been on 2mg weekly since late March and notice my heart rate jumps 7-9 beats the first couple days after injection, then settles back down. Just moved to 4mg and we'll see how that affects things.

Was just noticing this after last night - used to demolish a whole salad and half a pizza no problem. Last night had the salad and barely got through two slices. Really shifts your perspective on portions.

Day one is the best reference point you'll have - the 'didn't hurt at all' moment is the same one most people remember as the thing they were most afraid of going in. The first 2-3 weeks tend to be the adjustment window; the pattern from there gets easier to read. Welcome to the starting side.

you're gonna be fine. quit beating yourself up about the last few months and just move forward from here. like they say, today's the first day of the rest of your life

Starting the day you're ready is the right timing regardless of when it was prescribed. The first injection being easier than expected is the consistent report - the anticipation is almost always worse.

Injection pain is highly individual - some people feel almost nothing, others feel more at certain sites or doses. The headache and lightheadedness after the first dose are pretty common and usually settle within a few hours.
