Still hungry on week 2?

I'm a little worried. Today is the first day of my second week, and I feel hungry all the time, no matter how substantial my meals are.

It's not nausea. My body craves more food, but I don't have the mental desire to eat after a meal because I know I shouldn't be hungry.

Week one was constant fullness, which made sense. This doesn't make any sense.

Has anybody else had this happen?

Hey all, just a reminder to keep things within the rules! No talk about sourcing things that aren't FDA approved, okay? And definitely no buying/selling. Stay safe!

Perhaps you're just dehydrated and confusing it with hunger. Early on, especially with rapid weight decrease, electrolyte imbalances are common. Try some electrolytes. You'll become better at interpreting your body's signals over time.

I'm on day six and feeling the same way – unsure if it's real hunger pangs or not. If I eat, I still feel the same, which makes me think it's a side effect or something else entirely. Usually, eating makes the feeling go away, but it doesn't now, so I'm guessing it's not really hunger. It might just be adjustment period or a case of confusing thirst or low electrolytes for hunger.

Maybe it's just digestion? My stomach is definitely making more noise these days. And what I eat seems to matter. Rice, for example, makes me hungry again pretty quickly. Remember it's only week two; give your body time to adjust.

But if I eat something I feel exactly the same which leads me to believe it must be a side effect or something not related. Otherwise eating would/should make some difference. The fact that it doesn’t tells me it’s not true hunger.

Exactly! That's how I started to realize it wasn't real hunger. My mind was playing tricks on me.

Also, have you noticed any weird cravings? Since starting, I've been wanting sugary stuff all the time, even though I never really had a sweet tooth before. I'm thinking my body's just trying to get quick energy since I'm in a calorie deficit.

I can relate to that

I've been reaching for protein shakes and yogurt like crazy. I used to eat more savory stuff like cheese and meat, but they're not appealing at all now.

didn't really feel anything at low doses. did 4 weeks at 0.25, 2 weeks at 0.5, 2 weeks at 0.75 — that's when food noise went away and cravings got better. at 1mg everything really settled in and i could focus on weight loss instead of food.

Lost 30 pounds so far, down from 312 to 281. Only real side effect is coffee isn't appealing anymore. Even had a cheat weekend with pizza and pastries and still dropped 1.5 that week. Thinking of doing a controlled cheat day monthly. Miss eating normally but 60 more pounds and I hit my skydiving goal.

Week 7, started at 1mg now at 3mg. Zero appetite suppression for me. Still, with just kettlebell work 15 min 3 days a week I'm down 11 lbs. Losing like point-5 to 2 a week. Get full faster, feel satisfied. Maybe stick at 3 for 2 more weeks then move to 4. If 4 doesn't suppress appetite I might actually cut back on beer and drop way more.

Been on this off and on for 8 months and lost 53 pounds. Do strength and cardio 4 times a week but still amazed by how fast some people drop weight. Not gonna compare though - just focusing on keeping muscle while losing.

Late-night hunger that drives you to the fridge is real and worth planning around - having something easy and accessible helps avoid the desperate situation entirely.
