Is this weight loss too fast?

Just started week two of my Wegovy injections. Is it normal to see results this quickly?

I've gone from 206 lbs to 199 lbs in the last two weeks. My body seems less inflamed, and I'm not craving sweets as much. I'm making sure to eat at least 80g of protein, lots of fiber, and plenty of water. I'm also hitting the gym about 3 times a week.

Hey there! Just a reminder to everyone about the rules. We don't allow discussion of non-approved versions of semaglutide, and definitely no buying/selling meds. Be careful about DMs offering meds, they're not endorsed here.

That's what I'm guessing too - day five off the combo. Hoping to see scale movement next week. Didn't expect a full stop like a light switch. Have 30-40 left to hit 240-250.

Sounds pretty good. I was at a lower starting point of 154, and I lost roughly 6 pounds in week one and 11 pounds after a month. Keep up the great work and good luck!

Started at 225.7 pounds, now I'm at 214.3 pounds after 2 weeks. That's around 11 pounds. It's slowing down now in my third month though.

It really varies a lot from person to person. Don't worry too much about comparing yourself to others. As long as you're feeling good and the scale is moving in the right direction, you're on track!

I agree with @LeanLady. Everyone's body responds differently. Factors like starting weight, diet, exercise, and even genetics all play a role.

I'm hoping to get to a normal BMI soon! I saw someone else post about it, and it's super motivating.

Congrats to you too, that is awesome progress!

Two months for that much loss is really quick. Make sure you're keeping tabs on your labs, vitamins, and getting enough protein. Seriously solid progress though.

Really helps keep things sensible - tracks weekly progress and adjusts protein targets based on what you're actually dropping

The rapid early loss is almost entirely water - glycogen stores carrying water weight are the first thing to drop when appetite decreases significantly. It's real loss but not representative of the long-term pace. Most people settle into a slower sustainable rate by weeks 3-4. The important thing is that the medication is working. Week 2 is too early to draw any conclusions about pace - give it a couple more months before that becomes meaningful data.

7 lbs in two weeks at that stage is mostly water weight as glycogen drops with suppressed appetite. The real pace shows up weeks 4-6. The gallbladder point is worth keeping in mind though - rapid loss does increase gallstone risk. Stay hydrated and don't skip meals entirely.
