GLP-1: Eating less, still no scale movement

Don't get discouraged so soon! It can take time for your body to adjust to the medication. A loss of 5 pounds in 5 weeks is actually good! And weight can change day to day thanks to things like water retention.

Are your eating patterns actually different since starting Ozempic? The drug doesn't directly cause weight loss - it just makes food less appealing and steadies blood sugar if you're dealing with diabetes.

Food noise goes away but the head stuff stays. If you eat when you're stressed or sad, that's still there. But the constant background chatter about food being URGENT quiets down. Hunger doesn't hit me the same way, no more hangry moments, meals are just meals. Cravings don't dominate my mind anymore. Stress snacking urges still pop up though. Getting better at catching myself, which is easier when your brain isn't screaming about food.

only 2 shots in. day 5 of week 2 i felt real hunger, day 6 some cravings. after shot 2, zero interest in food—not side effects, just don't want it. still figuring it out.

That's fantastic, congrats! Quick question for you - how many months have you been on it now, and do you see yourself staying on it long term? Are you mixing in workouts or is it mostly the shot plus eating less?

Calories in vs calories out is really the foundation. If low carb works for you, stick with it. Plenty of folks enjoy that style, but I can't do it year round. I'll cycle it back in when I need hunger relief. That said, carbs make life taste better.

That seat belt extender sat in my carry-on the whole trip and stayed there. Felt incredible, honestly. Still bringing the pen but eating way less at meals too. Those long days walking around really add up.

Finishing dinner 3-4 hours before bed can reduce overnight bloating and make morning weigh-ins less noisy.
