Acid reflux killing me on point .25!

The heartburn was terrible for me too when I began. I discovered that taking Pepcid (famotidine) roughly a half-hour before injecting really made a difference. Additionally, sleeping with an extra pillow to prop myself up. Your body will adjust eventually, but the initial few weeks can be tough going.

I'm prescribed Pepcid and Protonix for heartburn, which comes at random from the delayed digestion and my history of GERD. They definitely reduce the symptoms, and copious amounts of water also help. It's worth seeing if your doctor will prescribe an antacid or a proton pump inhibitor; they're really effective! But a shot of Maalox or Mylanta has saved me so many times!

For those really struggling, maybe consider if your dose is too high? I saw someone say

Just started on .25mg and although I weighed around 210 to begin with, I'm feeling so good about this med!
and that's great! But I remember reading about people who felt awful on 5mg because it got too intense as they lost weight, and they went back to 2.5mg.

Just to be clear for everyone, 2.5mg is often NOT considered a therapeutic dosage. But if it works for you, that's awesome! I have patients who can barely tolerate 5mg. Listen to your body!

I agree with you @Gym_Taco about listening to your body. There are patients who needed to shift to other GLPs. Its on a case to case, I do have patients who can’t handle 5mg but only few. Keep us updated on your health @Cat_Coffee420

Totally regretting my vegan bakery binge... I split four pastries with a friend, all oily and sugary. Later, I barely ate anything until dinner, then a few bites of brownie. I felt absolutely AWFUL. Not doing that again!

See a lot of replies about cutting CJC or lowering dose, but nobody talks about adding something to help blood sugar. Any GLP works for that, but if it's not cutting it for you, try berberine or metformin. Also watch your pituitary with all those secretagogues—might be smarter to switch to HGH instead.

i'm at 220 and usually pin 15mg every 6 days, but i'm a terrible responder to everything—glp1s, supplements, painkillers, even the dentist needs extra novacaine. i might try 7.5 every 3 instead. that'd be 575 units, a bit over my max, but doubtful it'll do anything anyway.

Got prescribed Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes mainly back in August but also wanted to drop 30 pounds. Hit max dose at 10mg. My A1c went from 7.8 to 5.1 in 5 months and lost 19 pounds, which is solid. But now nothing really sounds good except ice cream and pizza. I end up ordering the smallest thing and not finishing it.

Booze and these meds don't mix well for me either. Switched to mocktails and that's been way better. Soda's off limits now too. Your bartender trick with the ice is solid.
