Starting sema - will 0.25 do anything?

Thanks for posting! Just a reminder: no discussion of non-approved stuff, and no selling meds. Check the if you're new!

I did lose some pounds immediately on .25, BUT only because I was carefully tracking my caloric intake and maintaining a deficit. If I hadn't been so diligent with calorie counting, I doubt I would have seen rapid weight loss.

Your initial weight and efforts to reduce calories impact how quickly you lose. Starting at 185 as an older woman, I consistently lost about a pound weekly on 1,200 calories daily.

Good luck!

Generally, 0.25 mg is just an introductory dose for your body to get used to it, so a lot of people don't see HUGE changes in weight during the first month. The main thing at that level is to minimize any negative side effects.

Some people will notice changes in appetite or drop a couple of pounds, but most begin to see real results once they increase to 0.5 or 1.0 mg. So, don't worry if the scale isn't moving much at first - it's normal.

My experience is different from most so far. I started at 0.25 and lost maybe 3 pounds. The food noise disappeared the day after my first injection (maybe it was just placebo?) and then slowly returned. It was back completely a few days after the first shot. I'm now 6 weeks in (4 weeks at 0.25 and 2 weeks at .5) and haven't lost any more weight (I have a lot to lose). The only side effects I've noticed are headaches that last from the day after to about 4 days after, and the day after my shot I feel nauseous. Apparently that's not uncommon - a lot of people don't see benefits until they're on a higher dosage.

I’m down about a dozen pounds in just over a week. My starting weight was 274. The food noise is mostly gone. I still get hungry, but I’m able to eat until I’m satisfied and then stop. I’m also eating mostly unprocessed foods. I’ve only had some constipation as a side effect.

Make sure it's from a legitimate pharmacy and not questionable sources. I was in your situation and switched to another provider at about 123 dollars for sema without the additional charges.

For me, the biggest thing was that I could control my appetite and I had way less food noise. This started after using sema.
Exactly! It's like my brain finally shut up about food for once. It's so much easier to make healthy choices when you're not constantly bombarded with cravings.

Wow, hearing all these stories makes me feel better about starting. I'm hoping for at least *some* change on 0.25, even if it's just appetite control. Thanks everyone!

Congrats on starting and best of luck. That mindset is where change happens. I was 145kg, wiped out, could barely walk a hundred meters. Now at 66kg and things are so much better. Life's actually doable again.

Just adding that I've seen people lose a significant amount on the starter doses. Someone on another forum lost 93 pounds on .25 without counting calories!
