Off the meds, still good!

That's amazing to hear! All the stories about gaining the weight back after discontinuing the meds are a little scary, haha.

I shed about 30 pounds in the first quarter of the year and now I've been stuck for a while. I'm also nervous about gaining if I quit the injections. Any advice?

I stopped in late summer and haven't put any weight back on in that time. It definitely takes effort, but like you, I'm glad I don't have to depend on it anymore. Congrats, keep it up!

That’s so encouraging!
I’m kind of worried about stopping the injections now that I’ve hit where I want to be.

I hear you there! I've been considering a very slow taper when I get to my goal, just to minimize any rebound. Maybe that's something to discuss with your doctor?

I'm aiming for a slow taper too when I get there, @PulseBTW445. Seems like the smartest way to go. I've read about people who drop the meds cold turkey and then are shocked when their appetite comes roaring back!

To be honest, the biggest thing for me was changing my mindset. I had to really focus on making healthy choices and creating new habits that I could maintain long-term. The medicine helped me get there, but it wasn't a magic bullet. It was a tool to help me change my lifestyle.

Morning protein shake before supplements is the right order - something in the stomach reduces absorption friction and softens the cortisol spike that drives appetite later. The 2-for-1 framing is how maintenance habits actually stick.
