GLP-1 Success So Far!

Started at 250lbs, 5'3" female, began in January '25 and have been on 2mg for approximately half a year now. Currently at 212lbs, so down 38lbs total! Joint discomfort is mostly gone, I have much more stamina most days, eating better with regular bowel movements, though I had a minor issue with gallstones recently (apparently pretty typical with rapid weight reduction). I'm walking a lot more now, mostly because of my packed schedule. Pretty pleased so far, my ideal weight is 180lbs, but my doc says I ideally should be 135lbs. Hopefully I continue to trim down! I'm taking vitamin and magnesium supplements daily and drinking a ton of water! Don't enjoy beer anymore, which is wild to me, and I feel like alcohol isn't as fun in general. My self-esteem is improving and I'm liking the way my clothes are fitting. Happy I went for it and tried this!

You are doing wonderfully! It’s fantastic that you’ve experienced so many positive changes in your life, like improved joint pain and increased energy.

Walking is excellent, even if you don't think it is! Every little bit counts! The best form of exercise is something we can fit into our routines and enjoy. Any extra movement is beneficial. If you can look forward to it and find it enjoyable, that’s even better! (I really love exclamation marks! I actually went back and deleted a few. Please don’t judge!
😁)

Also, appreciating the changes in pain levels and energy is such a game-changer. If things get tough, remember all those benefits.

Fantastic job!

Our experiences are so similar! I'm at approximately the same weight as you right now, although I've been using Ozempic for almost a year. I'm increasing to 2mg next month... I'm so proud of you and happy for your success! Like you, I'm not aiming to be super skinny – my goal is 160 to 170, so I feel like we're on a similar path! <3

Keep up the great job! Remember to consume plenty of protein and limit your carbs. If you could aim to eat within an 8-hour window, that would be ideal too.

I agree about focusing on protein, @Lean_IRL. It's essential to prevent muscle loss during rapid weight reduction. Just remember to consult your doctor before making any significant dietary changes!

Seeing stories like this help me stay motivated. I'm down almost 60 pounds but still have a ways to go. It's great to read about people who are feeling so much better!

The trial looked at 40,000 of the 189,000 who quit GLP-1s. Other papers show similar patterns. I wasn't saying stop forever, just that people wrongly believe they'd regain everything. It's not black and white.

Big accomplishment! Having those comparison shots really puts things in perspective. Body recomposition is huge and the numbers back it up. Glad you're feeling satisfied with where you are now.

dropped from 233 to 117 between sept and jan, then started microdosing. gained 10 back since and feel the inflammation creeping in. working out more now than on full dose, eat clean — should i go back to what worked? better habits now but number's climbing and it's frustrating.

Harbor tracks consistently on Reta - quality and response time both solid. Protein-and-fiber high is the right frame; cutting calories too hard on GLP-1s triggers the muscle-loss pattern that stalls the back half.

Congrats on your progress. My highest was 10 but I'm holding at 5 to stop further loss. Went up on long-acting insulin because dropping to 5 made my numbers change. Not suggesting anything just curious-do you drop your calories as you shed? Since you've lost so much you probably need to eat less. Keep crushing it.
