I've had type 2 diabetes for what feels like forever. I could never seem to get my blood sugar under control, and my doctors always seemed frustrated with me. I hated the lows and then overcorrecting with too much sugar. After too many lectures, I basically gave up trying for a couple of years. My A1c was something like 13.5 a couple years ago and still around 10.8 last year. I finally decided to give it one more shot and found a fantastic doctor who actually listens and includes me in the treatment plan. She started me on a GLP-1 med last summer. Went for a checkup today... my A1c is 5.7 now! Everything's in the green on my chart!
