Peptides while on seizure meds?

I had a question about tendon issues... I'm getting over being sick and my doctor prescribed cipro. I am so nervous about tendon damage from the cipro since I've heard horror stories. Would something like BPC-157 help avoid tendon problems?

There's no way to say for sure if BPC-157 would help with cipro-induced tendon issues. Some studies are questioning the tendon risks associated with Cipro. It's a last resort, of course, but sometimes necessary. Also, cephalexin has risks similar to levofloxacin but not ciprofloxacin.

For a reference, there is "Association between tendon ruptures and use of fluoroquinolone, and other oral antibiotics: a 10-year retrospective study of 1 million US senior Medicare beneficiaries - PubMed"

Absent epilepsy with anti-seizure meds and peptides is an area to discuss with your neurologist first - the interaction research doesn't exist yet.

The disclosure problem with grey peptides and seizure meds is real - a GP who doesn't know the full picture can't catch an interaction, and withholding makes the risk entirely yours. The absence epilepsy angle matters particularly because some compounds affect GABAergic signaling pathways that anti-seizure medications are designed to manage.
