fda approved new higher-dose wegovy yesterday. didn't shock me but curious how it affects the patent situation—probably resets it. makes you wonder if tirz is similarly underutilized at current max doses. haven't seen solid data on that yet though.

Head over to the community for snack and meal ideas. We're all experimenting with what to eat, and it's a good resource.

Also, read through the recent posts here. People ask the same questions all the time, so start browsing. Good luck! 😊

The best advice I got was from my sister. She said don't overbuy groceries thinking you'll want to eat specific items.

She was spot on. My cravings change every week. I shop weekly and keep my pantry pretty bare.

Keep feeding your family as usual, but hold off on buying special stuff for yourself. At least for now.

1. Some people start at half the recommended dose. You don't need to increase the dose if you feel okay and it’s still effective (less appetite/cravings). I only increase my dose when my hunger returns.
2. Avoid greasy, fried, or very sugary foods. They're slow to digest and can cause nausea.
3. Get some exercise, even just walking. You want to maintain and build muscle. Walking helps with energy and digestion.
4. Drink lots of water and add electrolytes.
5. Prevent constipation. Oatmeal for breakfast and a couple of kiwis after dinner work for me, but I also started a mild laxative a couple of days before my first injection.
6. Prioritize sleep. Your body digests and recovers while you sleep.
7. Eat regularly, small meals. Don’t skip meals, it will hurt your digestion and cause fatigue, hair loss, or dizziness.

You've got this! Remember it's not magic. You have to do your part for a good experience, good health, and weight loss.

Congrats! My top tips are to stay hydrated, focus on protein, and eat smaller meals to avoid feeling overly full. Give your body a couple weeks to adjust. Since you're home with the kids, even light activity like short walks or stretching can help. I also track my protein, water, and injections in an app to stay on top of things without overthinking it.

Been on Mounjaro 2 months after switching from Ozempic - over 40 lbs down. Started 7.5 right before a trip to Vegas and Disneyland. I walked 8+ miles a day and my knees barely hurt. Didn't have to stress about being hungry every second. That's what I'm celebrating.

I saw someone asking about stopping the meds once they reach their goal weight. From what I've read, most folks who use these meds for weight management need to stay on them long-term to maintain the benefits. It's like they reset something in your body, but only while you're taking them.

I started about two weeks ago and am only down like 3 pounds. Is that normal? I was hoping for faster results!
It can be slow for some people. I've been on it for several months and have only lost about 15 pounds. Just focus on consistency and healthy habits, and the results will come.

Yeah, lurked for ages before joining too. Smart to keep things private online - read plenty of cautionary tales here. GBs and similar do require careful handling when you share anything.
