First week - Feeling hopeful!

Just finishing up week one, and I'm surprised by the changes already. My hunger is there, but it's much quieter, the constant thinking about food is less intense, and I'm eating smaller portions without even trying. It’s subtle but definitely there. I feel more in control, not like I'm restricting. I'm using a telehealth service, and the support has been great, not overwhelming. I know it's early, and I'm not expecting huge weight loss yet, but I feel a sense of hope I haven't felt in years. For those who are further along, did these effects continue to improve after the first week?

Started at 145 lbs, hoping to get to 135 lbs. Finished week one (0.25 mg), currently at 143 lbs. I already worked out regularly and watched my calories before starting. Nothing major has changed with my diet yet.

I'm a 37-year-old male, and I've had two doses of the starting amount now (for a total of eight days). I've actually gained about half a pound. I haven't seen any noticeable effects yet.

One week in, just had my second shot last night. Down about 3 pounds, but the nausea is rough. My appetite is almost gone, and when I do eat, it has to be small meals throughout the day to keep it down. Lots and lots of water!

I'm due for my second dose tonight! I had almost no appetite the day after my first shot. I only feel hungry at dinner time, and I eat very small portions. I snack on protein during the day, like jerky and protein shakes. Then for dinner, I have chicken and veggies. Drink lots of water and electrolytes to help with nausea, and small snacks help too. I feel the most nauseous when my stomach is empty and I'm not drinking enough water. Good luck!

I took my first shot three days ago. I'm shocked that I'm not snacking nearly as much! I'm a terrible overeater. My boyfriend made dinner recently, and I could barely eat a quarter of it. I'm not nauseous or overly full, I just don't feel the need to eat the whole plate. I hope this continues, because I love it already! 😜

I'm grateful for the help this medication provides, but I'm also finding that a lot of foods don't taste good anymore. They're either too salty, or the texture is off. I often can't eat, and I end up throwing food away which I hate. I usually end up having a protein shake to get my protein intake for the day. Anyone else experiencing this?

Dude, I feel you. I feel like nothing has any salt anymore. I can barely taste it. Even when I'm hungry, there is almost nothing I feel like eating. I'll look in the fridge and think…I really don't want any of this!

I'm powering through the appetite suppression. Many of my favorite foods don't interest me anymore. I keep rotating the reliable ones. Finding out what works is all trial and error, unfortunately.

Okay, this is weird, but I just realized I didn't even think about buying Valentine's Day candy on sale this year!
YES! I did the same thing. I walked down the candy aisle at the store and I was just...meh. Didn't buy a thing. It was a really strange feeling, but a good one!

on keto after fodmap and elimination. so many veggies and carb stuff kick my gut now. keto's been best in years. ate the same breakfast—eggs, sugar-free sauce, bacon—that's never bothered me before. taking methylated vitamins to cover gaps. feel best fasting.

Silence being weird is so real but untalked about. First week I waited for noise back. Like forgot something. Brain busy with negotiation so quiet felt broken before it felt relieved.
