Tirz and undigested food?!

Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing bits of undigested veggies in their stool on tirz? I'm eating way more salads and greens now, so maybe that's it, but it's kinda gross finding whole chunks of carrots in there. Seems to happen like 2 days after my shot, which is weird. Anyone else experience a delay in sides hitting?

That 2-days-after-shot delay is a real pattern — a week-by-week look at GI sides after a shot covers the timing of GI symptoms hitting after injection in detail.

I've had diarrhea on pretty much all the GLP-1's, usually when I first start or when I increase the dose.

So far, Florastor Advanced probiotic works great for the diarrhea. I also use immodium and kratom.

Carrots, lettuce, bell peppers, corn… your colon won’t fully break these down because they’re insoluble fiber. They’re like a scrub brush, cleaning you out, which is why they’re good for you.

Probably nothing to do with the med, though.

If you don’t see these things, you probably don’t eat enough fiber.

I just started a GLP-1 and the gas is real! I was mortified on a date last week because I couldn't stop farting. The pharmacist said it's common when starting, something about the stomach slowing down and messing with your appetite. They said it should get better as my body adjusts or the dose changes. Anyone else experience this, and does it ever stop?

Oh honey, stick around! If a date can't handle the side effects, they definitely aren't worth it. My hubby would've laughed it off and made me feel less embarrassed!

I'm having the opposite problem, I'm finding it hard to have a bowel movement these days. I drink water and I tried adding fiber, but I'm still struggling and feeling nauseous when my glucose spikes. Any suggestions?

Miralax! Seriously, that stuff is a lifesaver. I went almost 10 days without going and nothing was working. A doc recommended Miralax, and it worked like a charm. Now, I take it every other day to keep things moving. Mix it with Gatorade for the electrolytes!

Oh the gas!

I had crazy gas when I began. Luckily, it was usually while I was in bed! I'd let out the longest farts of my life. It did get better after a bit, hang in there!

Same situation here, doing 5mg every 7 days trying to maintain but thinking about shortening to every 5-6 days instead. Food noise and cravings keep getting in the way.

Started slow back in October and have been steady since. Got the occasional constipation issues and needed help once or twice, but mostly manageable. Food tastes different - sweets are the only thing that still hits. Killed the food noise though.

Delayed gastric emptying means food moves through more slowly - fiber-heavy vegetables often don't break down fully. Very common on GLP-1s, especially if fiber intake went up at the same time. Not a health concern. Cooked vegetables are easier to process than raw if it's bothering you.

Junk food craving suppression and undigested veggie bits are separate mechanisms - reward pathway attenuation vs slowed gastric transit. Both are expected on Tirz.

Tirz slows motility enough that undigested fiber two days post-shot is the expected pattern - transit time extends with GI slowdown. Cooking vegetables helps.
