Hunger & Cravings Coming Back?!

I'm in week five now (0.25mg three times, 0.5mg twice), and some of my old issues are creeping back. For the first three weeks, I felt full after meals and had a reduced appetite. But for the last week or so, I'm feeling hungrier again (which isn't all bad, I guess), and my cravings for sugary stuff are much stronger. The appetite and craving suppression was a big bonus since that was my main problem before meds. Anyone else experience this? Did it improve when the dose increased again? I'm down about 7 pounds in the last 5 weeks, which is good. Thanks!

I just finished week 8, and you gotta hang in there! I was still starving too at first! I’m down about 10 pounds.

I'm on tirzepatide, not sema, but I get it. Some weeks, the cravings and hunger are worse. Try to choose healthier options, and if you do indulge, stick to one serving! It's okay sometimes, just don't go overboard.

I'm on 2.4mg and six months in, my hunger is increasing, and I'm craving junk food too.
That's a bit discouraging! I was hoping it wouldn't last this long. Have you made any adjustments to your eating habits to compensate?

Sugar cravings are REAL! I never cared about sweets before, but now I'm all about the cookies. Anyone else?
OMG YES! It's like my body thinks I'm starving and needs quick energy. I've been trying protein shakes and stuff - at least it's slightly healthier!

I found that the lower doses (.25 and .5) were great for initial loss, but the hunger came roaring back after a bit. Don't be afraid to titrate up! Also, make sure you're getting enough protein. It helps!

Good to see research on how to do maintenance without losing the other health improvements. I've thought about stretching doses to every ten days as a maintenance strategy since that's when it would be leaving my system anyway and could give a booster effect.

Just gotta say I LOVE how we test and develop answers. I LOVE this community. Tried tons of stuff and keep showing up. Amazing group of smart risk-takers willing to share it all - wins, losses, ugly parts, and scams sometimes!

The end-of-week fade is common - days 5-7 are typically when the suppression wears thinnest before the next dose. Some people manage it by adjusting injection timing to stretch coverage. Once the dose builds in your system over a few weeks it tends to even out. Completely normal pattern.

Could be worth checking your B12 levels - sometimes that deficiency hits different and makes appetite feel chaotic. Been there, had to add a supplement and it smoothed things out pretty quick.
