I'm 60 and dropped from 202 to 172 in three months. Still got some belly and love handles but at least they're shrinking and I'm building muscle back. The tennis crowd doesn't really notice though, which is interesting.
Jay Campbell gives off used car salesman energy. Even when complimenting you, you're left checking your credit report afterward. His whole 'trust me' pitch sounds like it comes with a limited warranty attached. I'd take advice from solid people here on the forum over him any day.
That's basically why I stick to higher dose. Haven't found solid research-based proof lower ones work. Lots of sources still suggest higher, no known bad effects. If I'm going through the effort and cost, want to be sure I'm getting full benefit.
The coldness never went away for me either even after so long on it. Hot showers help a bit but not much. Weird side effect that just stays with you. Though I grew up hating heat anyway so maybe it's not the worst thing.
With Mounjaro, yeah... I can set a clock to the GI stuff around hour 36 after I restart or up my dose. Explosive is an understatement. But honestly the appetite suppression kicks in before I even wake up, which is wild.
Hit my goal at 10mg in one year—lost 50 lbs, waist went from 38 to 34 inches. A1C is 5.4, all labs look good. But I've lost muscle and I'm borderline anemic now. Wife wants me on maintenance. What's the best way to step down? Should I go back to 7.5?
