So, a couple of years ago, I tried semaglutide and got good results. Then I tried tirzepatide but didn't get anything out of it. I've had gastric sleeve surgery since then, and I've regained a lot of the weight I lost. Thankfully, I haven't gone back to my highest weight.

I had my first semaglutide shot today. It's technically my third time around with this med.

I'm hoping the sleeve and the semaglutide will help me get to my goal weight. I'm also seeing a nutritionist and starting therapy for my eating disorder.

It seems like a lot, but I'm staying positive.

Try to get some Reta, studies are showing it’s better than sema and tirz every day. Less muscle loss, no bone density effects, and targets visceral fat! Good luck!

You can do this! While it's not about binge eating, I've found The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg to be super helpful. I read it again whenever I'm struggling, and it helps a lot.

I've been trying to find some more information on Reta. It sounds super promising, but I'm having a hard time finding reliable sources. Do you know of any good studies I could look at?

Hey, @Veggie-Coffee, thanks for the book recommendation! I'm gonna check that out. I'm also T2D, and my new doctor wants me to switch from metformin to ozempic. Anyone else experience this?

My doctor also suggested switching me from metformin! I'm on the extended-release version, and it's helped cut down on the diarrhea. Maybe ask your doctor about that before making a complete switch?

Amazing progress to everyone here! It's so inspiring to see other people's journeys. I've been on Mounjaro for a while now and am thinking of lowering my dose, even though weight loss has slowed down a bit. My labs are great though!

had my gallbladder out at 27, way before this med existed, and it was probably from weight loss back then. surgery was easy—down for a day and no after effects. I don't think it's that big a deal for what this med gives you.

Started at 440, got down 120 in a year. Then I got lazy with doses and lost focus. Back on it now and feeling motivated again. My A1c is at 5.9 which is great.

Restarted after a 6-month break and was surprised how much it felt like starting over again. The 0.5mg restart hit me almost as hard as my original 0.25mg ramp — nausea, food aversion, all of it back for about 10 days. Doc said this is normal and the body needs to re-acclimate. Worth knowing going in so the side-effect return doesn't catch you off guard.
