Tirzepatide: My Endo & Sterile Testing

I'm sharing recent testing I paid for myself. Hope this helps others!

Product tested: Tirzepatide 60mg x 2 kits
Order Date: Late August 2024
Batch Number: Not available at the time of order
Samples sent: 4 vials (2 from each kit)
Tests: Sterility (3 vials), Endotoxin (1 vial)
Results: Sterility = Passed. Endotoxin within limits.

More about the Endotoxin Test:
Vial contained 60 mg of tirzepatide. Here's the breakdown:

Endotoxin result: less than 10.0 EU/mL
Dilution volume: 2 mL total

Calculations:
10 EU / 60 mg = 0.167 EU/mg
My dose (15 mg): 15 mg * 0.167 EU/mg = ~2.5 EU per dose

Safety Check:
My weight: 106 kg. Safe limit: 106 kg * 5 EU = 530 EU per dose
2.5 EU per 15 mg dose is much lower than the 530 EU limit.

Test Accuracy:
Spike Recovery: 79%
Sample CV: 0.0%
Spike CV: 1.0%

Interpretation:
Guidelines usually set a limit of 5 EU per kg of body weight. If you have 50 mg of a peptide that tests at 2.0 EU total, then it's 2.0/50 = 0.04 EU/mg. It depends on the specific use.

Keep in mind different uses have different limits. Testing accuracy is important, and the use case matters.

So, Sterility "Passed" is the right way to say it?

I had the same thought at first: "Sterility negative" sounds like it's NOT sterile.

Totally understand! I'm in healthcare, so 'negative' is good to me! I added 'pass' to make it clearer.

The results are positive, right? Passes the sterility tests and the endotoxin levels are way under the limit?

I'm still waiting to hear back about mine.

I actually did once! I tried a small dose of a peptide (myostatin inhibitor) and felt terrible within 15 mins... like a bad flu. It was a really scary experience. Always start with tiny doses!

I wanted to add that endotoxin levels can be very important, but it also depends on where you inject. Injecting into the spinal area requires stricter endotoxin standards than injecting under the skin. Always check with a professional before you start any new peptide.

Up 17mg tirzepatide, no issues. Current clinical trial higher doses, amounts undisclosed. Maybe 20mg 25mg speculation. Novo applied FDA approval higher semaglutide injectable 7.2mg, three times previous highest. Fine going 15mg tolerate. Stacked semaglutide small dose weekly broke late November early December stall.
