Energy drink fiends on Ozempic?

I'm planning to start sometime in the next month. I'm also hoping that it will help me with my energy drink addiction. I've been hooked on those things for at least the last decade, and I'm ready to be done with it.

I've definitely noticed that my tolerance for booze, caffeine, and even weed has dropped significantly since starting this medication. I get a buzz a lot easier now lol

It helped me cut back on my caffeine consumption quite a bit. I didn’t give it up completely, but I probably could have if I wanted to.

When my wife got pregnant, she decided to stop drinking coffee cold turkey. Honestly, she said that it's MUCH easier than slowly cutting back. It's only a couple of days feeling like crud with headaches, and then BOOM, it's over. She said that weaning yourself off just makes you feel bad the entire time. Now when she does have caffeine, it REALLY hits hard. She only has it maybe once a month.

I quit caffeine six months ago and have zero desire for it anymore. (I also don't drink alcohol at all.) I wish I could say the same thing about nicotine, but semaglutide isn't doing anything for that addiction. :(

I’ve gone from drinking regular soda all day long to only allowing myself two diet sodas each day. I mostly just drink water with some flavoring added to it in between. I could probably cut out the diet soda completely, since I don’t even finish half a bottle when I have one. I'm in my fifth week and I think I'm used to it by now.

Stress driving? That's new to me, but

I used to stress eat all the time, but now I just want to go for drives. Has anyone else experienced this?
I can see how that would happen. Have you tried other ways to cope? Maybe walking or some kind of exercise?

I think it's really common to replace one unhealthy coping mechanism with another. I've been dealing with my cravings by learning how to regulate my emotional responses and finding healthy replacements for bad habits.

I've definitely noticed a change in my desire for alcohol since starting Ozempic. I've heard of some people using it to completely quit drinking. Congratulations to those who have!

So happy to read this. Same here - drink 3 liters Coke Zero daily for years and want to stop especially cost. Do you not want it? Any caffeine withdrawal? Starting first Ozempic this weekend, it's prepped.

Ortho said get Fairlife shakes Sam's Club. Member but haven't gone. Spine surgery recent, also Ozempic, need one daily minimum two.
