GLP-1s: Worth it for smaller weight loss?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
tried to dive into this thread but saw people pointing to some telegram group and a pen section. pens are wild for markup though — same as peptides, honestly. bac water and needles pretty steady price but pens and auto-injectors are price-gouged to hell. if you can't find them, insulin needles are cheap and work fine.

Agreeing on cagrilintide as the right add despite differing on the broader philosophy is a useful disagreement - the outcome-focused frame can survive methodological differences. The OP's question about whether it's worth it for smaller loss goals is actually easier to answer than the big-loss question: the metabolic benefits on A1C, cardiovascular markers, and appetite normalization don't stop mattering at 20 or 30 lbs. The target weight is just context.

The response variability point is key - not responding to one doesn't mean not responding to another. 80 lbs is the milestone that gets highlighted but 30 lbs on the right GLP-1 for someone who hasn't responded to anything else is just as significant a result. The medication working at all is the win.

20 percent, roughly the average loss reported across the clinical studies. So there's no rush on my end to shed the rest immediately. This medication got me 20% down, solid and pretty amazing honestly, just still technically obese lol. Holding steady around a 31 BMI though. Weight's always been a fight for me, feels like my baseline, probably something biological going on underneath it. Maybe sema or whatever comes next helps clear the rest eventually.
