GLP-1s saved my life, lol

Actually doing this too, but not on purpose. Bad mornings and rushing. Haven't noticed much on the tired front, though I'm worn out anyway so hard to tell. You notice a shift in energy depending when you inject?

tax stuff is complex. spending versus seeking is different. leftover after counting errors -- not sure if tax people care. appreciate the advice though.

Wednesday injection days are the common pick for social calendar reasons - the first 48 hours after the shot are when the suppression peaks and appetite returns toward the weekend.

Medication-induced weight gain with a provider who won't address it is one of the most common paths to self-managed GLP-1 research.

The whole not-obsessing-over-food thing is the part that surprised me most - it frees up so much mental space for everything else, including actually enjoying being around people. Glad it clicked for you.

Congrats! That's really impressive progress. What dose ended up working best for you? I know everyone responds differently but I'm always curious what's actually working for people. Happy to hear you're doing so well!

45 lbs is definitely not trivial, that's real work! I love that framing - behavioral GLP-1. It does feel like that when the food noise just disappears and you're eating what you actually need. The medication changes the relationship with food in a way that sticks.

200 and getting down while building the habits alongside is the combination that actually holds. The medication changes the appetite landscape and the habits fill in around it. Reading this kind of update is exactly what makes posting it worth it.

Telling the skeptical friends before starting rather than after the results show is the more exposed approach - you're defending the decision without the evidence yet. The fact that you did it honestly and upfront says a lot about how you approach the people in your life.

Dealt with this exact thing! Started on a GLP1 before it was mainstream or on anyone's radar. Loved eating, always down for food, and since I never actually felt full I'd always finish my whole plate. My friends back then were the same way and our hangouts usually revolved around restaurants.
Started saying stuff like 'oh, I already ate,' 'not really loving the taste of this,' 'already got plans to eat with someone else later, so keeping this light,' 'my stomach's off today,' 'trying to save some cash,' 'if I take these leftovers home I won't need to make lunch tomorrow.' My default became skipping food entirely until we met up, that way I could load up in front of everyone without raising questions. Felt completely absurd but I wasn't comfortable admitting the real reason. Constantly lying got exhausting, so I just stopped making plans with those particular people, and those friendships never really recovered. Honesty really is the better path.

Genuinely love seeing so many people in their fifties finally feel like themselves again after decades of feeling disconnected. These compounds really do unlock plenty of paths toward feeling and looking better.
