7 months on the shot!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Great job! It goes to show that even small, consistent losses add up over time. My Zappy coach reminded me that steady wins the race!

congrats on starting! i'm round two with these meds—did Wegovy years ago, dropped 40, stopped, gained it back. been on the new one for seven months now and down 50. big thing: stay hydrated the day before, day of, day after your shot. first few weeks suck but worth pushing through.

The addiction quieting effect is one of the more documented secondary benefits of GLP-1s. Smoking and alcohol often become noticeably less appealing within the first few months - the dopamine regulation that reduces food noise seems to apply to other compulsive patterns too. Seven months clean on both while losing weight is a real combined win.

The shot-day thirst thing is real for a lot of people - some kind of signal the body sends that day. Could be psychological but the practical outcome is you're hydrating on that day which is exactly when most people on GLP-1 need it most anyway. 65 pounds is massive progress.

Starting at 330 and losing basic physical capabilities before the medication is the kind of context that makes 7 months of progress shots worth everything. The OP's post is the exact type of update that matters for someone still at the beginning. The discomfort about extra flab is understandable but the improvement from where you started is clear. Keep going.

The T2D appetite rebound on day 2 is a real signal - some people with T2D find the appetite suppression less consistent at doses that work well for weight loss in non-diabetics. 15mg for 6 months with flat weight but good glucose control is actually a split outcome. Have you and your doctor talked about adding a different mechanism on top?

Started around 350lbs, sitting near 245 now. Really haven't hit any negative side effects, just the occasional fumble with the injection itself. Hair's stayed put, and I feel noticeably stronger and better overall. Wishing you luck!

Yeah, totally get that. So thrilled honestly! Healthy habits have been part of life for ages now, but weight just never budged no matter what got tried. The injection basically kickstarted the metabolism enough for the existing food and movement routine to finally do its job. Loving every bit of this, finally seeing years of consistent effort actually pay off.

So much better honestly! Inflammation's totally gone. Wish I had a sharper leg photo from before, the angle plus the black pants make it hard to judge, but I never carried a lot of extra weight down there anyway. Nearly everything sat around my midsection, back, and up through my face and arms instead.
