Sema for just 20-30 lbs to lose?

For those just starting out, be patient! I know it's hard, but slow and steady wins the race. Don't give up if you don't see huge changes right away. Some people respond faster than others. I'm glad I didn't give up!

I recently finished my injections after losing around 45 pounds! Totally worth it. Congrats!
Wow, that's amazing! Did you have any problems maintaining after stopping the shots?

I agree with Vita-Life. I spent years trying to lose weight and build muscle simultaneously. It was a slog. Now that I've lost a good bit of fat with sema, it's SO much easier to focus on strength training and see real progress.

Confident this time I'll maintain it. Set realistic goals and will keep being realistic as I get older. Have no wish to be 20 again. Still need to lose 15 lbs, going slow so my body and habits catch up. Will drop to maintenance dosing once at goal and probably stay on it long-term if necessary.

Lost similar amounts on strict carb diets before. The problem is it feels like dehydration, not fat loss. One slip and boom - five pounds overnight and your body hurts. Then calorie counting or restrictive eating just leads to yo-yo rebounds. Every time I've lost through pure willpower, it comes back doubled.

Consistent pace at 40 lbs in 8 months is exactly what this medication is built for - the small-to-moderate range is where most of the users actually are.

Vita-Life is onto something real about the sequencing. Losing fat first then building muscle is so much more efficient than grinding at both simultaneously. I had the same experience with the lowest effective dose doing most of the work. Once the excess weight came off my body finally cooperated with building strength.
