Down 90+ lbs in 2 yrs. Feeling blessed!

Been on semaglutide for 13 months now. At 5'4 and 63, I'm down to 130. More social, care more about my appearance, cholesterol dropped from 298 to 203, and I have way more energy. Feeling more confident and like a real adult instead of compensating for perceived flaws.

Don't tell anyone because of all the stigma and misinformation—people think it's cheating, not realizing what I deal with. Keep it private because that's what feels right for me.

The 'just eat less' framing completely misunderstands the biology. 90 lbs over 2 years tells a story the people with that framing can't explain away - consistent sustained loss doesn't happen from willpower alone. The stigma is starting to shift as the medications become more mainstream and the results speak for themselves.

Starting today after discovering an eating disorder context is a different kind of beginning than the typical goal. The OP's mental chatter quieter after 90+ lbs but stress still arguing is probably the picture of what the medication addresses versus what the underlying relationship with food looks like long-term. Hope the first weeks go smoothly for you.
