Going under BMI 40 is a legitimate milestone even if the bigger number has not moved yet. That first marker tends to change how the whole goal feels - less theoretical and more achievable. 180 in the OP is the long view of exactly that same commitment.
23.5 kg since December and 13.5 to go is a very different scale than 180 lbs total in the OP but the 'close to the finish line' feeling is the same. Almost there after never thinking it would work this fast is the part worth remembering when the last stretch slows down.
Totally agree with you, that's exactly why I brought up maintenance being the next hurdle. Still, reaching this milestone genuinely feels like a win to me, and there's no shame in taking a moment to celebrate it.
