Hit a plateau - anyone else?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
4-5 years on 1mg without problems and then the gastritis and daily GI issues starting is a tough way to end something that was clearly working. The plateau and the medical stop landing at the same time is genuinely hard. Switching to something with a different mechanism makes sense if the GI issues are the main barrier.

2mg ozempic for 3 years working solidly and then stopping is the real-world tolerance experience that gets documented but not talked about enough. the 47 pounds and 5 back is still a net win before mounjaro picked things back up. how does the mounjaro appetite suppression compare to what ozempic was doing at its best?

6 months stuck at 1mg and then the 2mg dose breaking the plateau in 3 weeks is the sequence that shows up often enough to be the standard advice. The Easter dinner test - eating very little and getting full fast - is the clearest early signal that the new dose is working. For the OP at 2 years in, the dose question is worth revisiting before assuming the plateau is permanent.

T2D and plateauing at 2mg after 9 months is exactly where the Mounjaro option becomes worth revisiting. The GIP receptor angle is the thing that Ozempic doesn't cover and that's often what breaks the plateau. You gotta weigh whether holding at 2mg is still doing something metabolically for the T2D even if the scale isn't moving. What does the A1C look like compared to when you started?
