Anyone else feeling... different?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
gonna be real - finding what works and actually sticking with it is the whole battle, ya know? the OP's point about people only talking about food is so true. there's the whole other side of what these meds do to how you feel day to day that doesn't get posted about nearly as much. glad you've found something that works.

The emotional side coming up alongside the appetite change is something therapy can actually help with in ways the medication can't. Food troubles from childhood showing up again when the medication starts doing its job is so consistent - the suppression quiets the food noise but doesn't touch the emotional patterns underneath. Glad you went back. How's it going with your therapist?

Starting January 2024 and then stopping for 3 months due to insurance and copay issues with regain in that window is the discontinuation problem that the OP's thread is circling around. The feeling different the OP describes is exactly what gets lost in the gap. Insurance gaps as the most common reason people stop is something more people should know going in.

Same here. Tried every kind of anxiety treatment and medication over the years, nothing's ever made me feel quite like this. Hoping it does the same for you.

Been following the mounjaro discussions for months now and haven't really seen anger mentioned as a side effect before, this is actually the earliest thread I've spotted bringing it up. Mild depression or apathy shows up a lot more often.

Even without dropping much weight on mounjaro, my head feels so much better. Anxious spirals and obsessive thinking used to run my life, now those moments are rare, and when they do show up I can actually tell my thoughts are reasonable instead of spinning off into nowhere.

Sometimes I miss those big mood swings and adrenaline rushes, but I'll take steady and calm over that any day.

Even better when the prescription comes with extra supply built in. Definitely feel more relaxed these days compared to when I first started, now that there's a larger backup vial on hand.

What made the real difference for me was finally feeling like I was working in sync with my own body rather than constantly battling it. Already knew the mechanics of losing weight, just could never sustain nonstop hunger and food fixation long enough. This medication didn't substitute for good habits, it just made sticking with them realistic over the long haul.
