Mounjaro is mostly prescribed for T2D, unless you got an exception. I'm T2D and dont plan to taper off, since my A1C used to hit 13 and Mounjaro brought it to 6. I'm at the stage of stepping down, seven and a half to five, for extra energy and less constipation, though I intend to stay on 5mg for life. Tirz is what my spouse uses, aimed at weight. She was pre-diabetic without having it, and needed 6 months to reach 2.5mg. We worked hard to cut bad foods first: soda, white bread, bagels, chips and processed meats all went, since they offer close to zero nutrition. After about two rough months we landed a great maintenance plan. Lifting is a must on this med, even just free weights and free YouTube videos.
