I'm a 57 year old woman, 5'4. My heaviest during a pregnancy complicated by preeclampsia was 240. Afterward I settled around 225, and through starving myself and heavy exercise could get down to 190, but I'd always drift right back up two hundred.
Going in, 160 was the number I had my sights on. Fitting a size 12 since that's where I always felt my best. Then I thought, why stop there. Decided I wanted a size 10 instead, so I dropped further to 150lbs, which matched my weight back in my twenties.
Honestly I feel incredible!! Friends keep asking, you're not planning to lose more, right?! I calmly point out I'm at 150lbs, so I'm obviously eating just fine, and their jaws drop every time. Oh, I figured you weighed way less than that, they say. My response, we all carry it differently, so how about a compliment instead next time.
Drives me up the wall how doubters would rather tear you down than lift you up.
