Lost 80lbs this year!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Maintaining for over a year and having someone check in to confirm it is the accountability piece that actually works for most people. 80 lbs and still here is a result worth celebrating - the people who check out after hitting goal and come back to report maintenance are the posts that matter most for people just starting. What has the maintenance protocol looked like?

The curious-friends situation is so common after a visible result. Sharing what's worked vs staying private about the method is a real personal call. Some people find the openness creates accountability, others find the questions exhausting. The positive experience since October shows in the update!! 80 lbs is incredible.

80 pounds in a year is a serious result. the switch to a different brand mid-journey and continuing to progress through it is a good sign for how well-calibrated the protocol has become

Never suggested everyone's being ignorant. What got said is that plenty of people out there aren't aware of how weight loss mechanics actually work.
Countless posts asking about upping doses or feeling defeated, and reading the comments, calorie intake usually isn't being tracked. This particular case involved desserts without tracking intake. Might already know tracking matters, might not. Plenty of others here made the same suggestion too, so that critique should probably be spread around more broadly.

Yes, been on mounjaro a good while, and dealt with obesity for life. Not that it's anyone's business.
Also struggled controlling eating habits for years, dealt with an eating disorder, and eventually learned calorie tracking matters. Everyone gets there eventually.
Also work as a nurse and regularly see patients describing this exact scenario. Starting medication with zero prior knowledge about tracking calories or weighing portions, not understanding why a four-week titration schedule gets prescribed or why dosing every seven days matters for maintaining an effective level in the body, just assuming it works automatically.

Pretty sure I'm signed up for a newsletter that covers exactly this kind of thing! Handy for tracking prices across different places.

On a related note, semaglutide still needs a prescription, doesn't it? Some of these replies have me second-guessing that.
