Goal weight! Now what??

Hong Kong Yanpep International
This counting method is interesting enough that it prompted going back to check the actual numbers. Roughly two hundred and twenty-five injections spread across three and a half years, with spacing varying a lot, often five to six days rather than a full week. Weight bottomed out at a fairly large total loss, then settled back up somewhat to where the body seems to want to sit on this medication. Can't imagine coming off it at this point. Too many health benefits at stake, and weight would almost certainly climb back without it. Would consider adding a newer compound once approved, aiming for another twenty pounds or so, but not entirely convinced it's worth disrupting what's already been achieved. The body seems to have adjusted really well to the current medication, so the risk of continuing feels quite low compared to everything gained.

For me, over a year on maintenance now, and it's really come down to spacing rather than amount. Never pushed past 7.5 mg since losing all appetite entirely wasn't the goal, just wanted the mental food chatter dialed down enough to make smarter choices. Somewhere along the way my whole relationship with eating shifted... genuinely healthy for the first time ever. Finally understand what it feels like to enjoy nourishing my body with things that actually serve it.

After reaching my target, I raised calories to a maintenance level and widened the gap between shots rather than cutting the amount.

Roughly every 3-4 months, my body pulls some strange reset move... sheds another 5lbs out of nowhere.

Almost feels like it needs time adjusting to this new baseline before settling. Considering dropping to 5mg weekly while keeping that same spacing... since there's no more 5 pounds left to chase. Never imagined I'd end up with that particular problem.

My take is maintenance really comes down to trial and error. You experiment with tapering down and see how your body handles it, then work out how to space injections further apart. Don't stress, having this medication as a tool makes holding steady genuinely manageable, you'll see. Personally shed a good chunk with it, then another couple kilos, and haven't regained anything since. Settled around 2.5mg. Stopped the medication entirely in June, but by September I had to restart due to anxiety flaring up. 2.5mg alone wasn't cutting it, so I pushed slightly higher and ended up splitting the dose instead. Now running roughly 1.7mg every four days and it's working beautifully for me. Personally, dropping the amount works better for me than spacing doses further apart.
