Halfway to my goal!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Only a bit over a month into Mounjaro myself, but my top piece of advice is to stop obsessing over the scale daily. Had a full week where nothing budged, then a sudden drop a few days later. Focus on protein and staying hydrated. My appetite's been crushed pretty hard, so some days getting enough in was genuinely tough. Keeping quick protein-rich snacks and shakes around made a real difference. Don't feel pushed to raise your dose if the current one's already working (diabetes is different, obviously). Still at 2.5mg myself since it's effective and the weight's coming off. That said, 2.5mg is technically a starting point, so plenty of people don't notice much before climbing to a bigger amount, and that's totally normal too. Ease into exercise gradually, start small and build from there so it doesn't feel like a punishment. It'll stick better that way. Most important thing: don't measure yourself against anyone else's timeline. Everybody responds differently, every Mounjaro path looks different. Stay focused on your own numbers, not someone else's.

Got it, appreciate that. Congrats on reaching your target!

Is the smaller amount your maintenance level now? When you dropped down from the higher dose, did cravings pick back up at all, and did your weight shift because of it? And are you still noticing that appetite-quieting effect at the lower amount even after being used to something stronger before? Broadly speaking, is the plan to stay on this long term, or are you working toward eventually coming off it entirely?

That's incredible! I'm currently working through my own journey on 10mg Mounjaro. Besides the once-weekly injection, what else went into it? What did your eating look like from day one through now that helped drive that huge loss? My doctor just handed me the pen with no real diet guidance attached.

When I first started Mounjaro I jumped straight into eating around 2200 calories daily. Looked up my actual needs and 2200 was the number. Moved up to 5mg and now sit around 1700. Plan on staying at that 2.5mg mark permanently after reaching goal. But something inside me was genuinely broken, and this dose corrects it, lets my body run the way everyone else's seems to. I eat exactly what I need, nothing more, nothing less. Snacking looks different now too. I keep track of calories through the day, and honestly the healthy choices feel less complicated now. Once enough weight came off I added the gym on top. These days managing my weight is as simple as eating right and moving more. Across 39 years alive, it has never once felt this manageable. Something was genuinely broken in how I related to food. I think I finally get where the 'just eat less, move more, easy' crowd was coming from - because thanks to this medication those are actually real choices for me now, unlike before. Maybe you've been stuck on hard mode this whole time while others got easy mode, and this drug just evens the field. Fully worth it, and there's zero reason to feel bad. If anything, feel proud, not guilty.
