Reta dosing...am I doing this right?

Need to mix up two vials tomorrow, both the bigger concentration size. The smaller ones burn through fast, only a bit over three doses each at my usual amount.

You're probably a fair bit heavier or taller than me, plus you've been running reta a lot longer if you're already at 10mg. This is my first time trying it and I'm already in decent shape, so I'm easing in with a 0.25mg dose.
By going up in dose I'm expecting to actually feel more from it, otherwise what's the point of increasing at all.
Yeah, just grabbed one vial which should last me a couple months at least. Came across some unofficial resellers out there but couldn't be bothered stockpiling ten vials, so I'm fine paying around 40 GBP every few months for a single one.

Doesn't really matter much either way, multiple smaller vials work fine too. Minimizing air space inside matters sometimes though. Never seen that particular compound dosed in micrograms, if I ever run it I'll be thinking in milligrams.

Like I mentioned, I typically use a smaller syringe for mixing, not for the actual shots themselves. My point is that larger syringes just aren't accurate enough for measuring diluent into the vial when someone wants a milliliter or more.

What I'm actually comparing is a smaller reconstitution volume yielding ten doses at a stronger concentration each, versus a larger volume yielding ten doses at a weaker concentration each. Since the second setup has lower concentration, the volume that ends up lost stays constant, but the actual amount of active ingredient lost drops to a third.

Even five milligrams of overfill isn't a big deal really. He's mentioning a 104% fill, which comes out to 2mg extra.
Let me tell you though, I've tried quite a few different Reta brands. You might not get this, but one really hits hard while another feels smooth as anything. I can genuinely tell the difference, and I've climbed from 2mg up to 10mg, adding 2mg at a time over four to seven weeks per step.
OP, were you testing from the first vial, and did you purchase both as a kit or individually? Was the BAC volume identical across both, and what was the amount used?

Large stopper aside, how many units are actually clinging to the wall? That's not exactly what I'd call significant.

Beyond that, when I'm reconstituting a higher-strength vial, I typically move it over to a bigger container so I get a manageable concentration per injection. Doing it that way lets me rinse the original container with diluent on its way into the larger one... still not seeing where the concern comes from. If that's roughly five units left behind without the rinse, that's maybe fifty cents worth of product at that concentration.

My reconstitution and dosing steps went like this. Mix the 20mg powder with 2.5ml of water for a once weekly shot. Started at 10 units using an insulin syringe, bumping up 5 units each week. Currently sitting at 40 units.

20mg with 2ml Bac added in, meaning one full syringe pull at 1ml should land at roughly a 10mg dose, given there's just 1ml of diluent per 10mg of Reta - might've mixed up gram and mg somewhere in there. Either way I worked up from a quarter ml syringe, then half, then three quarters, now a full ml. Different wording, same actual dose. My terminology probably needs some polishing. Decimals are a whole separate headache, but I get why precision matters in case some newcomer takes my post as gospel.
